COMBINED IUU LIST

The Combined IUU List provides an up to date record of all vessels that currently appear on lists of recognised IUU fishing vessels maintained by Regional Fisheries Management Organisations (RFMOs), as well as all fishing vessels that are subject to an INTERPOL Purple Notice.

A public service and useful resource

The Combined IUU List also contains a record of all vessels that have previously been IUU listed but are now delisted. Vessel details, including identifying information, vessel characteristics, photographs and latest known position where available, are kept updated based on the best available information.

TMT maintains the Combined IUU List as a public service and to provide a useful resource for officials, companies and others interested in obtaining up to date information about IUU listed vessels.

The information contained on the site is derived from a range of sources, including RFMO and other databases, vessel tracking information, written reports and human intelligence. It also represents the public face of TMT’s much larger global fishing vessel database and fisheries analytical system.

The Combined IUU List currently contains vessels IUU listed by:

  • Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)

  • Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC)

  • International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT)

  • Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC)

  • Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO)

  • North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC)

  • South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (SEAFO)

  • Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC)

  • South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO)

  • INTERPOL Purple Notices

We work to ensure that the site contains the best available and most recent information regarding all vessels, however we cannot guarantee that all information is correct at time of reading.

This is particularly the case as IUU fishing vessels are known to change name, flag and other identifying details frequently as a tactic to avoid detection by authorities. Users are encouraged to submit new information regarding listed vessels through the site.
